Local producer Nee’s High Apple Pies is celebrating after winning 2 GOLD and 1 BRONZE

medal at the 2016 Australian Food Awards (AFA) for their Gluten Free Salted Caramel with

Macadamia Baked Cheesecake, Traditional Baked Cheesecake and Gluten Free Apple Pie.

This is the second time the family-owned business has entered the prestigious competition,

with this year its most successful yet. Having previously achieved a Bronze medal placement

in 2015 for their Traditional Lemon Cheesecake, Nee’s High Apple Pies has gone from

strength to strength winning Gold Medals this year.

“I am thrilled to be a gold medallist, as it really confirms that all the hard work is paying off

and my products really are of a high standard,” said Anita Gottwalt, business owner.

The AFA, conducted by The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) builds on the

success of RASV’s Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards (RMFFA) and is Australia’s leading

National premium food awards program.

The awards offer entrants the opportunity to benchmark against set criteria; receive

invaluable independent feedback from industry experts; and be rewarded for excellence.

Customers looking to purchase the award-winning products are encouraged to visit Nee’s

High Apple Pies website for more information.
